Even celebrities care: Michelle Visage

With my project, a key part is reaching an audience. This is because hopefully, the project will reach people who are struggling and help lead them to dealing with the problems and knowing their rights in the workplace and that they aren't the only ones. I utilise the twitter account to post links to the blog, the website, and snippets of info. But also, I use it to occasionally tweet about my own experience with depression, such as being fired from a job because of it.

So I decided to tweet some people who I find inspiring, and one did get back in contact, and retweeted the EBD tweets. That was Michelle Visage. Famous judge of RuPaul's drag race, a singer in Seduction back in the day, and general great TV personality.

It is so refreshing to see somebody in the limelight acknowledge mental health, especially describe that defeating the stigma is "one of their passions".

That's why this twitter activity is just so important - people, even those with fame, understand what you are going through if you experience it, and nobody is alone in it.
